ENERGY

OIL & GAS

Mexico's energy reform set in motion a series of changes that continue to revolutionize the country's oil and gas industry.

We provide day to day advice and support to clients in the entire value chain of the oil and gas industry, from upstream exploration and production, to midstream logistics and downstream refining and distribution .

We also also counsel our clients in all stages of tendering activities, project execution, and procurement.

ELECTRIC INDUSTRY

As a result of the energy reform, private participation, with no or minimum foreign investment restrictions, is allowed in most areas of the power industry.

This represents a new opportunity to provide expert, reliable, and efficient legal services to transnational companies interested in investing in projects that incorporate first-class technologies, which are in high demand as they're needed for Mexico to reach its goals throughout the energy sector.

We counsel you in meeting all the requirements and in obtaining the permits required to  become an Active Market Participant in the Wholesale Electricity Market.

We also provide legal advice to private parties who have been awarded contracts to assist the Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE) in the financing, installation, maintenance, management, operation, and expansion of the National Transmission Network.

ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES

The Mexican government has set out an ambitious plan to generate 50% of the country's electric power capacity with renewable energy by 2050.

We are committed to contribute to this mission by providing legal services that support the materialization and success of projects that aim to have a positive impact in the environment and that drive sustainable development.

We offer you legal counsel throughout all the stages of public bids that award long-term contracts for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, bioenergy, marine, hydroelectric, and geothermal). The above includes helping you obtain Clean Energy Certificates (CEL's), structuring consortia, negotiating joint bidding agreements, addressing qualification issues, and contract risks.
